Sherry Tanner – Folk Art Pottery

Our latest episode features Sherry Tanner a clay artist in Murphy, North Carolina. Sherry demonstrates how she makes a small clay piggy. Sherry designs all sorts of clay pots, animals and jugs in the folk art style. Head up to our “Videos” tab and watch as Sherry shows you the basics of working with clay.

Recently we had a chance to travel to Anchorage, Alaska. So while there we interviewed several crafters at the Saturday Market in Anchorage. This is a wonderful venue that gathers together artists, crafters, musicians, and great food every Saturday from May to September. Look for these segments later this summer.

Nice episode, I am not sure how one could use the crafted piggie, but it was cute.

My piggy lives on my kitchen window sill. It makes me smile every morning. His purpose is to make me smile.
