Crafty Thanksgiving

It’s not too late to craft something for Thanksgiving.  Take a walk around your yard or neighborhood and find some naturals to make a centerpiece for the table.  When I get to my son’s tomorrow, I’ll go out with my grand-daughter and find some cool things to make a centerpiece. They live in the woods so it should be great. I’ll post pictures later.

Last year I found some cheap Fall fabric and made napkins. I used the scraps to make coasters, too.  Just hemming squares of fabric is such an easy way to brighten the table.

After all the dishes are done and you’all are planning the shopping plan for the next day, remember to visit a local craft show. Quality, handmade gifts are so much meaningful than items bought at the big box stores. You will be supporting your local crafter, you’ll keep your dollars local and in most cases, giving a one of a kind gift.

Brasstown Vally Resort and Spa in Hiwassee, GA is having a craft show. It’s from 11 am to 7 pm  on the 27th and 28th. The second show is in Franklin. It’s Mistletoe Magic, at the community center on 441. This is a great show. I usually do this show but decided not to do it this year.  It’s the 27th and 28th also.

Of course, be sure and drop by the shops of Brasstown Village (near the John C. Campbell Folk school) We have wonderful gifts for every shopping need. We will be having an open house December 11, 12 and 13. On Friday, Dec. 11, we will be staying open late (until 8 pm) Light refreshments will be served.

Happy Thanksgiving !!!!

Just Jackie
