Christmas in February
Posted in General by: jax1215Because of the weather, timing and just not wanting to drive 2 hours thru the mountains in the ice and snow, I have not celebrated Christmas with my son and his family. Both understood the dread of that drive. (we are flatlanders from Florida and have not driven on the white stuff)
I finally made it over there last week to shop, eat and celebrate. I don’t have much of a shopping choice here in the mountains but in Asheville there is everything. We walked around the downtown area and took in all the wonderful artsy shops. We ate at 2 really good restaurants. I got to go to 2 different fabric stores.
The best part was when I opened my Christmas gift from my son. He had gotten me 100 little organza bags. (and on sale) How many kids would know their mom well enough to buy her a craft project !!!!!
Hoping Spring is around the corner in your neck of the woods.
