Carolina Crafting

This is the weekend to celebrate the season. Everywhere you turn, there will be fun things to see and do. The festivities start in Murphy with a parade at 2 p.m. As you are waiting for the parade, there will be a craft show and food downtown. The parade is always a great celebration of all that is right in Murphy. Everyone shows up. All the local businesses are in the parade. It’s a real “feel good” event.

Morning Song Studios at the Shoppes of Brasstown is having an open house this weekend. All of the other shops will join in the festivities. We’ve been decorating and getting ready. Carolina Crafting (the smallest shop in Brasstown) is carrying a line of Denise Anthony’s handmade candies. Suppy is limited. You can still place orders. This candy is REALLY good.

This Sunday is the Fireside Sale at the John C. Campbell Folk School. So, shop in Brasstown then run over to the Folk School and shop some more. Support your local artists.
