Judy was born in Canada and relocated to Naples Florida in late ‘60’s from the Windsor /Detroit area. The abundant flora and fauna lead to taking classes in painting of the wonderful tropical seascapes and landscapes of Florida! Colour brought her to stained glass, and kaleidoscopes brought a love of 3D art.
Glass fusing with left over scraps of stained glass shaped into cabochons and wrapped in sterling silver and gold filled wire to create wearable glass works. Learning to make glass beads in 2002 added another element of glass art to the wired creations she is known to create. Proficient in both glass and wire Judy now teaches both lampwork and wire wrap locally at both John C. Campbell Folk School in Brasstown NC and Wm Holland School of Lapidary Arts. Throughout the years she has taken numerous classes in the jewelry arts in both Florida and North Carolina.
Judy has been producing and selling at art galleries and craft festivals throughout the southeast since 1987 as well as at her gallery in Brasstown “Judy’s Place”. Some of her work can be seen at judypeppers.com
