Graham White was originally born and raised in England where he lived for more than twenty years around water. As a result he grew up with a love of boats. At seventeen his first job was as a ship’s carpenter apprentice. He worked for four years as an apprentice and two years as a qualified Ship’s Carpenter.

Graham’s life changed when he was laid off from the boat yard due to a lack of orders for new boats. Through his boating, boat building and college experience he was offered a job as captain aboard a wooden classic sail boat in Lebanon. For thirty years Graham was at sea, running, maintaining and operating sail boats and power boats up to 120 feet in length.

In 2004 Graham semi-retired from that industry and set up a work shop in Murphy, NC to do something he wanted to do since he was a kid, turning wood.

Having no knowledge or training in wood turning he started off green and taught himself. His devotion to this new skill and seeing what he could do drove him on to produce salable pieces quite quickly. As a result Graham has received many first place ribbons and merit awards from shows he entered. He has sold pieces that are now on mega yachts and to countries as far away as Australia, South Africa, Japan, not to mention throughout the United States.
