Carolina Crafting

In 1989 Charlotte enrolled in her first spinning class at the John C. Campbell Flok School in Brasstown, NC.

Over the past 11 years, She has been involved in the craft of spinning, demonstrating at the Folk School Festival, many other festivals in North Carolina, Georgia as well as the community outreach programs in NC and TN public schools.

In 1992 she represtented the Flok School demonstrating at the Southeast Fiber Forum Convention in Raleigh NC.

“I feel it is important to support our local farmers of sheep, llama and goat herds in Western North Carolina. Also, it is important to demonstrate crafts and keep alive a part of the past for future generations.”
